What is your main Idea?

Our mission is to help organizations track employee happiness in real time and achieve employee sustainability. 2DAYSMOOD is a tool to achieve the mission, we are the means for your organization to make it successful. 

How did you get making and selling your software? 

Jan Pronk, CTO, is the proud founder of 2DAYSMOOD. Since 2016, he and Martin Meulenkamp have been managing partners of a team of (now) 12 people. And in 2019 Marvin Deitz joined them as the managing partner for North America. Jan explains how beautiful things can arise from a source of frustration. 

“In 2015 I worked in a Dutch branch of a multinational. To save costs, the company decided to remove the coffee machines and plants, and I experienced the impact of that… An ill-considered, disastrous experiment by my then CEO. All hell broke out, people got angry and some even left the company. The board was focused on the wrong KPIs. Employees’ mood, satisfaction or stress were ignored in decisions.” 

One of the problems that team leaders have faced rose during Covid -19, when they had connected to their employees while working from home. 2DAYSMOOD offers a simple solution to keeping track of employee moods and KPI’s, in just 15 seconds per week.
Also, another important issue for organizations is how they will keep a good well-being for their employees. 2DAYSMOOD helps to pay extra attention with how everyone is feeling. We help organizations figure out how and where to improve in an efficient way. If the employee net promotor score (eNPS) is increasing, that shows that you are a good employer and you value your employees. Another problem that occurs is when an organization is expanding quickly. For instance, say you started working with 15 people and after a while, you work with 50 people. That makes it difficult to connect with everybody because you growing very fast. That’s why the tool is so valuable, to help you grow and not lose your culture. It helps everybody live by the same values, the tool allows them to keep an eye on it while they are growing. 

What is your vision for the next 5 years? 

According to Jan, CTO of the 2DAYSMOOD, we will become a leader in what we do. “We will not be a huge company with thousands of employees, but instead we will keep a small core of employees and a very helpful, agile tool. Our goal is to help organizations all around the world. We will do it with specialize consultancy companies who they will help and we will focus on the software and the core of the product.” 

What is the biggest risk, if any? 

One of the biggest risks is when organizations are measuring employee happiness but they don’t do anything with the data. 2DAYSMOOD allows customers to put their employees first and we are there to help reach their goals. By providing actionable data, we want to inspire people to take the right actions. This is also supported by our Employee Happiness Experts and strategic partners. 

In what countries is your software solution available?

Organizations in any country that has an open Internet, can use our software. We have 11 different languages in the tool itself. 

How many people have been impacted by your product? 

Almost every customer is expanding their contract with us, so that means that we do not have organizations leaving us. Our retention rate is extremely high. It is so new for people to have this data in real time, to be able to see how employees are feeling how that affects their organizations. And it’s good to see that HR managers, team leaders and directors are appreciative of this data and hold it in high value. 

So far we’ve had a positive impact on around 100.000 employees and the completed number of surveys is reaching one million. We’ve asked a lot of questions and provided HR managers, directors and team leaders with an abundance of actionable feedback. 

Do you have any key metrics that show traction? 

The fact that customers continue to measure with 2DAYSMOOD shows a lot of traction. As mentioned, the retention rate is very high. We have been in the business for six years now and we are growing very fast. 

What does data represent to you in our industry? 

According to Richard, Sales and Communication Specialist,: “If you don’t have data, you don’t really know anything. We’re not just talking about data, we’re talking about actionable data. Data that you can and need to do something with! As an organization, you have the responsibility to communicate with your team and ask questions to know where you can improve.
